De Levante is a grassroot organisation and has been awarded an ANBI status (Dutch non-profit organisation). It arose from the need to show a more complete, realistic picture of the cultures which are discussed often, but so very little is known about. De Levante is the only institution in the Netherlands that provides a permanent platform for contemporary art and culture of the Oriental world. More information can be found at www.anbi.nl (in Dutch)
